2. Classic Cakes

Andrea has 29 years of cake experience. She considers herself a true "cake snob" knowing the science of baking and the pleasure food can bring to a palate. Respecting and preserving the thought of using the purest ingredients and heirloom recipes to deliver the highest quality cake. Having a passion, sense of perfection and drive to be unique has helped elevate Classic Cakes into something unique and unseen in the Midwest. Her cakes have graced the pages of national publications like Town & Country to North Coast Weddings Magazine and wedding blogs such as Style Me Pretty and 100 Layer Cake. We have just been chosen by Bride's Magazine as one of the top 100 wedding cake studios in the United States. Cake is her art and sugar, eggs, flour, butter and salt are her medium.

3. Adorn Cakes

A wedding cake should be exquisite inside and out.  No couple should have to choose between a beautiful cake or a delicious one. I put as much time and attention into the baking and filling of the cake as the decorating.  I buy the best ingredients, and make everything from scratch—no cake mix!  I’m always improving my artistry and keeping up with current trends and techniques.  I love to travel to attend classes taught by some of the best cake artists in the biz.

Twelve years ago my youngest was turning 3 and insisted on a kitty cake for his birthday.  I went to the library and researched cake decorating books to create his cute kitty cake.  Soon I was making cakes for friends, and friends-of-friends.  There came a point when my kitchen was so overwhelmed that I knew I had to get a commercial kitchen or stop altogether.  When I considered not using my baking and decorating talents creating cakes for others, it was truly a depressing thought.  Maybe that’s the closest a girl can come to knowing her life’s purpose?  I rented space in a commercial kitchen, signed on for my first bridal show and I’m now in my 5th year in my own cake shop, Adorn Cakes.

4. Sherrie's Cake Magic

I established Sherrie’s Cake Magic in 2006 when I left the 24 year career of grocery/retail bakery life.  I love being able to follow my passion and create beautiful and unique wedding cakes while working from home in my fully licensed kitchen. (If you like you can actually see that shop on Google 360).  I have been a cake designer for 33 years, married for 25 years and have two wonderful ( IMHO-of course-lol) children that are 19 and 22. Not so much children any more, but it’s been a blessing to be able to work from home since they were young.
