Summer Wedding Trends We're Loving!

With Memorial Day around the corner, grills are out and many are heading to the pool. But what does this mean for trends as the warm Summer season peaks around the corner? We've got you with a list of some of our favorite trends expected at weddings this Summer. Check them out and let us know which ones you're excited about.

Unique Invitations

Get ready for bold colors, foil prints and paper alternatives like plexi-glass and linen! These special invitations are sure to help keep your guests intrigued before the big day.

Uncommon Color Accents

Expect to see 2018's wedding color UltraViolet making quiet the appearence this summer, but don't be surprised if you see brides embracing an often hidden color at weddings, Black!

Small Wedding Parties

We saw some large wedding parties last year, some around 13 bridesmaids! But, this year intimate weddings seem to be the call to action, some weddings only have two bridal party members!

Focusing on Indoor Weddings

2017 saw a lot of outdoor weddings, from barns to golf courses, but this year, brides are taking it inside! Allowing the outdoors to be an added bonus, rather than a necessity for their day. Also, keeps weather fears out of the question!

REAL WEDDING | Rebecca & Mica

GUYS! We are so excited to share with you the wedding of Rebecca and Mica, both are AMH brides. Rebecca came in first and we had so much fun helping her find a gown that not only was stunning on her, but made her feel beautiful and confident in her own skin. She went home and told Mica she had to come and visit us as well. Mica was able to come in and find a gown that she was able to alter into a pantsuit! This couple was an absolute joy to work with. They had a gorgeous destination wedding in Florida on the beach. We cannot wait to show you the pictures from this wedding... ready... set... gooo!!!

Sarah was absolutely amazing! I cried as soon as I put on the first gown because it was the first dress that fit. Her shop caters to REAL plus size and curvy brides. She ACTUALLY had my sizes in her shop instead of only having 1 or two that I could barely get over my head. She made me feel so special & taken care of. I highly recommend AMH Bridal!

Kansas City Wedding Venues

1. 8th & Main | Grandview, MO

8th & Main is a wedding and events space in historic downtown Grandview, Missouri. The urban space that has been restored to grandeur with a nod to its past life as a bank. While renovating the building, we discovered the original bank vault and gave it a prominent place in this intimate room with 10 foot oak paneled doors dating back to 1902. The vault room is ideal for a ceremony or cocktail party of 135 or less. The larger reception room is upscale in style and finishes and has plenty of room for dinner and dancing for 150 guests. The exposed brick walls and solid oak doors give way to a private outdoor patio that accommodates a ceremony for 125. The patio is also a great space for guests to talk and mingle around the dancing flames of the outdoor fireplace.

2. 1890 Event Space | Platte City, MO

1890 offers serene views and distinctive spaces worthy of your vows. The rolling hills and grounds provide an unforgettable backdrop for your wedding. Eighteen Ninety's two unique spaces offer everything needed to host an intimate wedding of 5 guests or a larger celebration for 300 people.
